Pesto pea pasta

This dish is a favourite of mine!

Here is the ingredients list and steps : ( its pretty easy and vegetarian too. If you want to add some meat, chicken would be nice with this )



  • 16 oz. Pasta of Choice/ I use organic pea pasta

  • ½ cup Pine Nuts

  • 2 tbsp Nutritional Yeast flakes

  • 2 cups Fresh Peas (or 2 ¼ cup Frozen)

  • 3–4 cloves Garlic

  • 2 cup Fresh Basil, packed

  • Juice & Zest of 1 Lemon

  • Pinch of Red Pepper Flakes (Optional if you like it spicay)

  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt

  • 1 thinly sliced and cooked zucchini

  • feta cheese/ handful - ish

  • thinly sliced cucumber

  • Organic pesto sauce ( you can make your own if you have time )



Boil water in a pot with a dash of extra virgin olive oil and a pinch of salt, cook your pasta.

In a pan add a dash of oil on medium/high heat. Place fresh peas, garlic, zest of lemon, red pepper flakes, salt, zucchini in and cook until soft and then place to the side.

In a large mixing bowl once pasta is cooked and you have drained it. Place pasta in your large mixing bowl and add the pea mixture in. Stir through. Mix your feta through, nutritional yeast, sliced cucumber and pesto sauce.

In a pan on medium high heat cook your pinenuts.

Once you have done this, serve into desired bowls add your basil to the topping with your pinenuts.

There you have it. A nutritional lunch meal or dinner too.
